It’s August. My 7-song EP has been recorded and mixed. Next step is mastering. All thanks to Emma Newton and Big Nice Studio in Lincoln, RI. This was the first time recording my solo music in a studio setting and I couldn’t have been happier. I am super excited that soon I will have something to share that reflects more truly where I am in this journey in life. The last recording I made for distribution was back in 2005 on a 4-track cassette recorder in my parent’s house. And other than the sparse live shows I’ve played over the past few years or short audio/video recordings on my phone that have turned into social media posts, I haven’t really documented my artistic path. And that is something I enjoy when I come across an artist I like, looking into their back catalogue. And although most songs on this EP have been written within the last year or so, there is one that’s been with me in some shape or form since around 2004. I do hope this process will get me into the mindset of recording and releasing more, even if some of it is in DIY style format.
Speaking of sparse live shows, I do have a couple in the works. Once confirmed I will post an update, as well as any more news on the EP.
